Consultant Task | Cybersecurity Consultant, North Zealand

On behalf of a private sector client, we are looking for an experienced cybersecurity consultant to support an upcoming tender process for a new security and endpoint protection platform. The assignment starts with an independent review of the client's current security setup. The consultant will recommend a minimum viable security solution based on business needs and risk profile, and help shape a pragmatic target architecture – work that also feeds into an ongoing effort to standardise security practices across a recently acquired Nordic entity. Once vendor proposals come in through the tender, the consultant will assess them independently: checking whether they meet requirements, flagging gaps or unnecessary complexity, and helping the client invest at the right level without overengineering or overspending. We're looking for a consultant with solid experience in security strategy and architecture, ideally with exposure to managed security services and endpoint protection or EDR platforms. Familiarity with NIS2 and ISO 27001 is important, and security operations experience is a plus. A certification such as CISSP is welcomed but not required. Since the engagement is fully vendor-neutral, the consultant should have no commercial ties to any specific technology or vendor, and bring an objective, pragmatic perspective. Location: North Zealand, hybrid (limited onsite presence) Workload: To be concluded with the client and the right consultant Start: August 2026 (at the latest September 2026) Duration: Dependant on agreement, tender process expected to conclude November 2026 Language: English Your qualifications We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications: Experience with security strategy and security architecture, including defining target architectures Experience with managed security services and endpoint protection/EDR platforms Knowledge of NIS2 and ISO 27001 Experience with security operations Independent, vendor-neutral approach with no commercial ties to specific technologies or vendors A certification such as CISSP is an advantage, but not required Are you interested?
